2009 Spring Benefit
On Thursday, May 14th, Cool Culture families, educators from partner early education programs, and Cool Culture supporters gathered at the South Street Seaport Atrium to honor the work of the Shelley and Donald Rubin Foundation at Cool Culture’s Spring Gala. The family foundation was honored with Cool Culture’s Arts Access Award for their efforts to support social justice via access. The evening also featured the National Jazz Museum in Harlem’s All Stars jazz quartet, and a silent auction that showcased artwork created and donated by Cool Culture children.
Cool Culture is deeply grateful for the generous community of cultural institution, foundation, corporate and individual supporters whose investment in cultural access provides more than 50,000 low-income families with free, unlimited access to more than 80 museums, botanical gardens, historical societies and zoos.
Join us in helping to ensure that parents can harness cultural resources to prepare their children to succeed in school!

Cool Culture is grateful for those individuals and organizations whose generosity made this year’s Spring Benefit a wonderful event.
Programs that connect families to free resources to cultivate their children’s learning are critical in these economic times. The Spring Benefit allows Cool Culture to continue efforts to ensure that all New York families, regardless of income level, are able to take advantage of the city’s remarkable cultural resources.
Thank You.
